Back by popular demand, Eyemouth Herring Queen Festival are hosting a Family Firework night for all.This is a non-profit making event for us, but we, as an organisation feel that our little town deserves big fireworks.Our pyrotechnics are the amazing “Pyromancer” led by the enthusiastic Chris Mason. This company have now provided two wonderful exciting displays for EHQ and this will not be their last. Every effort, as always has gone into making this a safe and happy event with the biggest risk assessment anyone can ask for !!Like last year, we unfortunately do not allow sparklers, as red hot sparks on a metal wand amongst face high children in a crowd, we feel is not the best idea. We reserve the right to confiscate any sparklers, so please do not bring them.If you’re hungry, we have burgers and home made Lentil or Leek and Potato soup.There are flashy, light up wands for the kids to wave too.Slater’s Funfair are all sorted to arrive and entertain and add to the carnival atmosphere.This really is the place to be for fireworks in the Borders.Although we won’t be making a profit, we will be rattling tins and shaking buckets to try and raise funds for our 2016 festival, so please give what you can. We rely solely on fundraising and donations to keep the week on fun going every July.Please come along and enjoy yourselves. It’s going to be a great night. EP x
