It’s been a busy few months, so I apologise for the lateness of this post, but it gives us immense pleasure to announce that we have a new EHQ elect for this year, 2018.

Way back at the end of November,  a panel of local organisations once again met up in the Home Arms Guest House to select the coming year’s Eyemouth Herring Queen, and this year it is Miss Isla Purvis.

Isla follows in the footsteps of her grandmother Barbara Barrie 1973, her cousin Lindsay Lough 2001 and her cousin Megan Melvin 2016 to be crowned, this year on Saturday July 28th at the Seafront in Eyemouth.

The lovely young ladies who will be accompanying her as her maids  will be Ellie Mae Turnbull, Leokie Barnett, Layla Crowe and Katie Shiells.
