Programme of Events for 2015



All of the following events are listed, along with their sponsors in this year’s Official Souvenir Programme. Available for sale in Eyemouth Post Office, General Store, Eyemouth Museum and Eyemouth Filling Station. priced at £2.


Saturday 18th July

Children’s parade  12.30pm  starting at the Home Arms Car Park, led by Eyemouth Pipe Band. Free picnic bag for every child participating

Eyemouth Herring Queen Official Parade 3.45pm at the Community Centre Eyemouth and finishes at the Home Arms Car Park

Crowning  ceremony of Miss Roma Peakman in the Home Arms Car Park 4pm


Sunday 19th July

Kirking of the newly crowned EHQ in Eyemouth Parish Church at 11.10am, all welcome.

EHQ Street Market in Eyemouth High Street, crafts, food and fundraising.

1pm start – Main stage with music being performed by, Summerland, Andrew Valentine, SHE, Dark Horse and the Joe Mangels at the Home Arms Car Park.

12.30pm start -Acoustic Stage – Performances by the Lynella Dancers, Rustee Strings, Reston Concert Band, The Podlies, The Tinkers and Escape

Songs of praise service –  Held in the Hippodrome on Harbour Road at 6.30pm. all welcome

Monday 20th July

Sandcastle Competition on Eyemouth Beach – 10.30am

Prize Bingo – In the Old High School Hall, Eyemouth at 3pm

Fancy Dress competition and parade – Held in the Home Arms Car Park  at 6.30pm

Tuesday 21st July

Ten pin bowling in Beachcomber Amusements – 10.30am and 11.30am

Fun day at the Leisure/Swim Centre  – Water walkers, sea scooters, aqua rollers and dance mats £3.50 per hour, with two sessions at 1pm and 2pm.  Event run by Borders Sport and Leisure Trust.

Darts Competition in the Tavern Bar at 7pm. Over 18’s only

Eyemouth’s Got Talent competition – held in the Old High School Hall at 7pm.

Wednesday 22nd July

Pet Show  – Held in Kirk Square 10am

Children’s Scavenger Hunt – Start in Kirk Square at 2pm

Icecream Sundae Making – In Giacopazzi’s on Harbour Road at 4pm

Deal or No Deal – Held in the Old High School Hall at 7pm

Thursday 23rd July

Family Zumba- Held in Kirk Square

Icecream Sundae Making – In Giacopazzi’s on Harbour Road at 4.30pm

Baby Show – Held in Eyemouth Parish Church at 2pm-4pm

Food and Drink Quiz – held in Oblo’ Bar and Bistro at 7pm

Friday 24th July

Kids Mini Golf and Putting Competition – held at Eyemouth Golf Glub

Were you born to hand jive with Ailsa EHQ 2014? – held in Eyemouth Community Centre

Something Scottish  – performances by local Highland Dancers and musicians, held in Kirk Square

60’s. 70’s. 80’s and 90’s Music Quiz -Held in the Fleet Bar – £2 per person. Teams of us

Saturday 25th

Family fun day and picnic on the local beach 12-3pm

Battle of Britain Memorial Flyover at 2.40pm over Eyemouth Beach.

4 legged Banrty challenge race – starts outside the Dolphin Hotel at 7pm

Dry Boat race ( a take on a beer race) -Starts outside the Dolphin Hotel at 8pm

Slater’s Fun Fair – running from 6pm onwards

Torchlight and Pyjama Parade – torch tickets available at Occasions Florist in Eyemouth.

Fireworks – Display by Pyromancer Fireworks.

Sunday 26th

Service of the Sea Church Service – held in the EU Church
